What’s the course about

​

Mere technical knowledge or experience in a particular job function does not ensure employability or career progress. Organizations have identified as many as eight soft, managerial and leadership skills - collectively called the employability skills that are required for a professional to move up the corporate ladder. The lack of these skills can prevent students from getting employed and those employed from getting promoted.

Surveys after surveys reveal the fact that a vast majority of arts & science, and engineering graduates are not job-ready because they do not have employability skills. Since, organizations expect students to be job ready, students are required to learn the employability skills even as they pursue their formal or higher education.

Course objective

​

The course trains students in key employability skills like communication, inter-personal relations, emotional intelligence, time management, and leadership qualities. It sensitizes the students with the expectations and realities of the world of work. The course helps students change their attitude for better and educates them to measure their progress in terms of behavioral outcomes.

The trainings aim at enhancing students’ personality and preparing them for group discussions, and job interviews. The course makes students self-learners of management and leadership talent.
