What’s the course about

​

Microsoft Project is a project management software program, developed and sold by Microsoft. It is designed to assist a project manager in developing a plan, assigning resources to tasks, tracking progress, managing the budget, and analyzing workloads. It is available currently in two editions: Standard, and Professional.

Course objective

​

The course provides an overview of project management methods like Waterfall and agile. It teaches students how to stay organized, be efficient and prioritize, manage projects remotely, deliver projects successfully, anticipate change, improve everyday collaboration, communicate in real time, and simplify IT by using Project.

The students are given hands-on exercises on important project management tasks such as creating complete plans up front, leveling resources, creating a resource pool, analyzing the Critical Paths and tracking progress over baseline, and using Earned Value technique.
