Electronic Design Automation
PCB Design using OrCAD
OrCAD Capture (20 Hours)

What’s the course about

Virtually every electronic product is constructed with one or more printed-circuit boards (PCBs). The PCBs hold the ICs and other components and implement the interconnections between them. The ideal PCB design starts with the discovery that a PCB is needed and continues through the final production boards. OrCAD Capture is the industry standard solution for designing and developing PCBs because of its intuitive schematic editing, project management, extensive compatibility, and cost effectiveness.

Course objective

The course imparts sound understanding of the fundamentals of this software and highlights how design processes can be accelerated and project costs lowered by using OrCAD Capture. The course makes students adept at using all key features of the software - engineers can analyze and explore circuit performance and functional relationships with "what if" scenarios and simulate complex mixed-signal designs.
